Earl V and Company

Earl V and Company
Earl V and Company
This band, Earl v & Company got started thru a big vision of Earl Vernon. He came up being influenced by great musicians. First of all by following his brother, the late David Vernon, and playing together in church pastored by their father, the Late Rev. Dr. U.D. Vernon. Also, listening to bands from the Gaffney area from way back when which had great musicians and singers like: Kenneth Oglesby AKA (Be Kent) who left us way to soon. Big Kent was just a special gift from God for how he played different instruments and rally had a voice like no other. He really inspired me (Earl Vernon) so much that it kept that burning drive in me to multitask to play different instruments and sing. Mr. Donnell (Drag) Edwards was and still is a mentor and motivator. My best friend Emery (Scott) Littlejohn who also played keyboard inspired me by pushing me to go as far as I can in the music industry. Other inspirations include King "Bootie" Littlejohn, Lare "Moose" Littlejohn, Terry "Shine" Littlejohn, Barry Wood, Blake Rogers, and many others. There are many more that Earl Vernon has followed and come up with into getting started in Gaffney, South Carolina. Earl put Top 40 bands together during school dealing with his friend Kenneth Wright, who is really doing his thing in music in Nashville, Tennessee.

From Earl Vernon being an original member of Jodeci the famous legendary R&B group of the 90's (and that's a whole other story) but... Earl decided to not just sit on his music. That's how Earl V and Company came about. With a collaboration of good gospel, southern soul, R&B. Earl Vernon was to keep that solid electrifying sound to be a listening pleasure for people to really enjoy. Earl V & Company really got started about 2009/2010 from the experience of traveling the nation and some other countries. Earl Vernon decided its time to put this group together, not to out do anybody but to bring a type of vibe that people would get as if they were going to a show that costs $100 a ticket or more. This band don't just play and sing well, they really entertain and excite you. The band started with: Earl Vernon, Vincent Jay Hambright or Tyson Willis (drums), Josh McDowell (keyboard), Michael Logan or Ben Gaffney (bass guitar). The singers that started were Jamarcus Littlejohn, Shaunie-Tirrel Hall, then came Aftan Smith, who just blossomed so well that she really became more than an overnight sensation. She excelled to the point to where she has her own touring band, ACE Party Band and they are so awesome. I'm part of her band as well and I'm thankful says Earl Vernon.

One thing that Earl Vernon is so thankful for is that how this part of his music has come full circle. Earl was able to reach back and get Terry "Shine" Littlejohn to be a part of Earl V & Company. Earl used to follow Shine listening to the bands that he sang in then years later Shine has become a part of Earl V and Company. How amazing it was to experience this.

Now this awesome band still uses some original members when we can get them because all of the original band members from Earl V and Company have went on to play with big time corporate bands. Josh McDowell has won two Stellar Awards for producing music, Vincent Jay Hambright is a major producer and plays for corporate bands, Michael Logan, Ben Gaffney and Tyson Willis all play for corporate bands and travel.

Earl V & Company has some dynamic singers that's gonna really blow your mind. Virginia Rush is so soulful that you're gonna get such a vibe from her that you're gonna feel like you are in church. She is all of that and more be she's so humble and really shows how grateful she is and you just don't find people like her. Craig Ellis is dynamic with his vocals and musical skills he's really gonna amaze you. He has travelled the country and sings with corporate bands. Jerry "JR" Brintley is an awesome singer and musician that's gonna really tear the house down. Mia Thompson is so awesome when she sings you feel everything she is singing. Earl Vernon is just Mr. Excitement, Mr. Entertainment - there will not be a dull moment while he is playing and singing. Daryll Searles - keyboard is just all-around electrifying. So when you her Earl V and Company just know that you're not just hearing an ordinary band - you're hearing your best from Gaffney, South Carolina!!
